48in48 Volunteer: Development Team Interest Nonprofits spend all of their time doing good, not looking good. Imagine how much good they could do if they looked good as well? How powerful would it be to let highly skilled professionals (like designers and developers) use their skillset to help nonprofits grow? These are the ideas that led to the creation of 48in48 and we need your help to impact the community of nonprofit organizations in Minneapolis-St. Paul We need development team volunteers to execute building the website at the event. All positions require you to be present during the event (Sept 15-17, 2017). Project Managers will also need to contribute time leading up to the event. Project Manager - PMs should register by AUG 18, 2017. PMs will coordinate all team tasks and act as liaison to their designated nonprofit facilitating branding and content needs for the 6 weeks leading up to the event weekend. PMs begin communications with selected nonprofits by late Aug. Word Press Guru - Expert in configuring WordPress. Will help select plugins/themes to add functioning. Graphic Designer - Visual design talent and will ensure the quality of the look of the site. Digital Marketing - Understands digital marketing and help ensure the site they are building for the nonprofit is helping to accomplish the goals of the nonprofit. Front-End Developer - Will work with the designer to customize the layout of the theme. This will consist of adjustments to the color palette, typography and minor refinements on element positioning and spacing. Content Manager - Content Manager will work as part of each project team to shape appropriate, keyword rich content that achieves site goals and fits page designs.
